Packaging Inks - Water Based
Water-based inks contain water predominantly as the solvent for the pigments (colour). The distinction here is that inks containing plastic or harsh chemicals require less use of water compared to water-based inks. The inks are used for colour transfer in paper, cloth, or packaging materials. Since water-based inks contain low amounts of chemicals, they are finding acceptance in industries where safety is of concern, such as in food packaging.
